Meet Jill Morris, founder and creative designer of Simply Hampers.
With a background in floristry and crafts, opening a gift hamper business in her new home town of Cairns, was a natural progression for Jill in 2006.
It wasn’t long before she discovered the emerging local food industry in Tropical North Queensland, and saw the opportunity to showcase authentic regional produce in her hampers.
Today, Jill spends much of her time travelling from food fairs to farm gates across regional Australia, to source the very best artisan produce.
Every hamper tells the stories of her trips to the Yarra Valley in Victoria, the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast or the misty mountains of the Cairns Highlands. Each item of carefully selected food has been grown and packaged with pride by the local producers and suppliers Jill has met along the way.

In 2017 and 2018 Jill travelled to the United States to further her knowledge of the gifting industry and to attend the National Gift Basket Convention. Whilst at the convention Jill was granted Certification as a Gift Designer and is proud to display her certificate as an assurance to our clients that our work is of the highest quality. Jill also regularly takes part in educational tutorials from the Git Basket Association and most recently has attained her “Expert in Real Estate Gifting” certificate and is now designing a VIP programme for Simply Hampers’ corporate clients.
Jill and her team place as much importance on the presentation of the hampers, as they do on the contents. Each gift is packaged with love in beautiful baskets, or one of Jill’s signatures boxes. Even the finishing touches of handwritten notes, or ribbons printed with company logos, provide the ‘wow’ factor that sets Simply Hampers apart.
“My passion in business is to design and create beautiful gifts, filled with the best produce from around Australia. My passion and purpose in life is to live happily and healthily in the paradise of Tropical North Queensland, and to leave this world a better place for my grandchildren.”
