 farmgate is a weekly growers’ market held at the Pier at the Marina. It’s aim is to provide a place where the farmer can sell his produce directly to the consumer.

The consumer benefits by being able to talk directly to the grower and learn about our Tropical seasonal produce – how it is grown and how it can be used.

Food Kilometers are a feature of farmgate with all produce being labelled to reflect the distance the produce has travelled to get to market – from the paddock to the plate.

By taking a note of the Food Kilometers we are able to make a positive reduction of our carbon footprint.

simply hampers is proud to be associated with farmgate and you can see us there every week too – showcasing the local products that we use exclusively in our farmgate hampers.

You will also see such delectable goodies as –

 Fresh farmhouse baked bread, luscious cheesecakes and strudels
